In 1797, she returned to France where she founded a school for poor girls. In 1799 she founded a new congregation: the Sisters of Charity supported by Letizia Ramolino, Napoleon's mother.
... When Joan Antidea was 22 she joined the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul in Paris but during the French Revolution she was in exile in Switzerland and Germany.
In 1797, she returned to France where she founded a school for poor girls. In 1799 she founded a new congregation: the Sisters of Charity supported by Letizia Ramolino, Napoleon's mother.
In 1819, her institute was approved by Pope Pius VII who gave canonic privileges to her convents.
She died at Regina Coeli monasterium, Naples, in 1828.
