From 1974 to 1986 he won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events in the Table Tennis European Championships and five medals at the World Table Tennis Championships.



He won a gold medal in the mixed doubles event with Claude Bergeret at the 1977 World Table Tennis Championships in Birmingham.
