His father was a newspaper man and a pianist and a singer and Holland inherited all the traits from him for he plays the piano without ever having had many lessons and he sings very well (as his fans will agree) without any lessons at all. In addition to that he writes poetry and dramas. As well as being a featured entertainer on KMOX, he has been continuity chief, announcer and could be an operator in a pinch because he has served in that role many times.
