Eames after World War I was, along with Jeanne Eagels, considered one of the leading new female lights of the Broadway stage performing in many classic roles including Shakespeare, Henrik Ibsen and George Bernard Shaw. She made a handful of silent pictures, but died before given the opportunity to appear in the new media of sound films.
